    It is our honor and privilege to have had the opportunity to meet and work closely with Dr. Saeed Akhter during our research studies trip to Pakistan.

    Over the past two years, we have served as spokespersons for his PKLI chapter in Dallas. Our role as spokespersons has allowed us to share his impactful initiatives and advocate for improved healthcare access, especially in rural areas. Under his mentorship, we have gained invaluable insights.  His guidance is shaping our vision and under his leadership, we aspire to lead the way in establishing a pioneering model for a dialysis center in a rural village in Punjab, Pakistan, furthering our commitment to improving healthcare accessibility in underserved communities.

    In 2023, Professor Dr. Saeed Akhter was awarded the prestigious Sitara-e-Imtiaz ("Star of Excellence") by the President of Pakistan. The award recognizes his outstanding services in the field of Urology, Transplant Surgery, and for his efforts in establishing the Pakistan Kidney Institute to provide healthcare services to economically disadvantaged patients in Pakistan.     It has been an honor to meet Dr. Khalil Ur Rehman, a visionary leader in the field of kidney care. As the Acting CEO and Founder Chairman of Pakistan Kidney Center (PKC), located in Abbottabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).

    We were proud to serve as spokespersons for Dr. Khalil at the PKC fundraising event in Dallas, where we had the opportunity to share our personal transplant journey, the work of Voices for Kidney Patients, and the much-needed support for kidney patients. Through Dr. Khalil's leadership, we are inspired to continue our own mission of improving healthcare accessibility and saving lives.

    Dr. Khalil has dedicated his life to providing state-of-the-art dialysis and kidney disease treatment facilities to underserved communities in Pakistan. His mission is to bring high-quality healthcare to those suffering from kidney diseases, especially the most deserving populations, in order to save lives and help patients live near-normal lives.
