Supporting Kidney Patients in Need
We currently support 7 patients by providing essential healthcare services, including lab tests, medications, and nephrologist visits. Additionally, some patients receive financial aid for living expenses due to their limited income.
As a new non-profit organization, our budget allows us to assist this initial group of patients. However, the need in this community is far greater, and we rely on your support to expand our reach and provide life-saving care to more individuals.
What We Provide:
Medical Support
Laboratory Tests: Regular monitoring of kidney function is essential. We ensure that our patients receive timely lab tests to track their health.
Medications: Kidney disease management requires a variety of medications. We cover the cost of these medicines to relieve the financial strain on families.
Consultations with Nephrologists: Access to specialized care is vital. We arrange and fund visits to nephrologists in major cities for expert guidance and treatment plans.
2. Financial Assistance
Living Expenses: Some patients are in dire need of financial support for basic living costs. Many families rely on a single income, which becomes unsustainable when compounded by the expenses of chronic illness.
Here’s a breakdown of our monthly expenses:
Individual Patient Costs:
Average cost per patient for dialysis sessions (3 times per week): $300/month ($25 per session x 12 sessions)
Medications: $100/month
Nephrologist visits: $50/month
Lab tests: $50/month
Total per patient: $500/month
Administrative Costs:
Salary for one full-time staff member maintaining patient records and coordinating care: $200/month
Our Impact:
By addressing these immediate needs, we aim to improve the quality of life for these patients and their families. However, the demand for support continues to grow, and with your help, we can expand our reach to assist even more individuals in need.
